Level 2 (Wiggle & Grow), for ages 2 to 3 years old, opens the door to a whole new world of musical discovery and delight. Level 2 is about fun with a purpose and our classes encourage older toddlers to initiate their own ideas and explore their creativity. Each class offers plenty of fun outlets for toddler-style energy, promoting cognitive development through singing, dancing, and instrument play. Better still, you’ll have the opportunity to connect with other parents and caregivers who are also experiencing the joys and complexities of these busy years, while learning to use music to create and simplify routines at home.

I have been attending classes for nearly a total of 7 years and can honestly say that I have enjoyed every musical moment Suzanne has facilitated between me and my kids.  What I like most about Suzanne's classes is that although there is a set theme, the children are allowed to follow at their own pace and participate in whichever manner they are comfortable with.  This makes it a fun environment for anyone, including adults, who wants to add some rhythm into his/her day."  F.M.

Additional information for our classes:

  • During class the most important thing you can do for your child is to be an active and patient role model. Up until about age 3, toddlers are mostly learning by observing and imitating others. To this end, please try to avoid “socializing” with other adults too much in class :) It may take several weeks for children new to Wiggle & Grow classes to feel comfortable, especially if they have just completed Sing & Play which has a more flexible environment. If you are an active, focused and enthusiastic participant in all the class activities, your child will model your behavior and begin to focus as well.
  • Children learn in many different ways; some are exuberant participants, others are quiet observers. Both are equally valid responses in class and may differ at home where the child is more comfortable. Some toddlers love to move! Providing they are not in danger of hurting themselves or others, movement is acceptable, however, please be sensitive to the class environment. Kindermusik is process, not performance, orientated and the Kindermusik philosophy accepts and respects each child’s response.
  • Please try not to bring toys from home to class. However, if your child is very attached to an item please be sensitive to others who may want to share it as well.
  • There are a lot of movement activities in class, including lying and rolling on the floor, so dress comfortably as you will both be encouraged to participate. Non-slip socks, soft slippers or indoor shoes should be worn by children and adults.

Because we want everyone’s class time to be special with their child, you are encouraged to make child- care arrangements for siblings. Toddlers can be easily distracted by the presence of young babies and their toys. Infant siblings who are content to stay quietly in a pumpkin seat may be brought to class with the teacher’s prior consent.
